Wellington trip Review.
Gabez
On Thursday the 14th, the 7&8 department of Otaki College went to Wellington for a day. We watched 3 performances. My favourite one was the called Gabez. This act had 2 Japanese mime artists. They were amazing at miming and had everything on point. Except for the venue. it was a bit small. I think If they had a bigger venue to act in, It would have been 100% better. The sound was good. Not perfect. But It was very good.
The Music was on point, at all the right times. The miming was on point the whole time. They don't talk but they make noises. But that is just apart of miming. They don't have to improve on anything miming wise. But a bigger venue would be better. In my opinion the quality was 95% good!
Troll
The other performance that there was, was an act called Troll. 2 people were in the act. But the guy
(Otto) was the main character. It was a bit weird. But I liked it. The venue was great. Everyone got a seat. No one was standing. The act was based in the 90's, Around 1998. The guy/kid names Otto was getting up at 4am and a troll made out of wires and stuff happened. Anyway, The sound was better than the others. It was loud but not too loud. The venue was in my opinion the best out of the 3. I think they couldn't do any better because it was pretty good. The graphics were bad but that's because it was "1998". The quality of the whole act was over all in my opinion 90% great. The troll represented The fears that the kid had. But it represented him being alone and the troll is depression. That pressures people to take their own life.
